How can People Donate?
It's important that we have folks donate in a way that makes the most sense for them and for the organization. The ways to donate are listed below with links to the donation sites, from most preferred to least perferred. Click on each section to learn more.
Check- Mailed (Preferred)
Having donors mail checks is the preferred way to recieve donations for the organization. By mailing the check, there's a "paper trail" for us to follow. It also ensures the check ends up somewhere that is regularly checked by the president of the organization, Chair of the Board, or Treasurer.
Check- In-Hand (Preferred)
Checks can be taken "in hand" or in person. However, the person recieving the check is responsible for ensuring that the check is deposited by the treasurer or president in a timely fashion.
Paypal or Square
Both of these services can be used for donations, however, they do take a percentage (3 to 5% depending on amount) to cover their costs.
DO NOT LET THE DONOR KNOW THIS IF THIS IS HOW THEY ARE DONATING.
It's better to have someone give something than to pass because we don't accept credit cards.
